Josh Lucas.png

Josh Lucas

Josh Lucas was born and raised in Monterey County. He graduated from Marina High School in 2010 and is a student at Monterey Peninsula College. He has a 1st degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do. He started taking classes at Bodyworx in January of 2002, when he was 9 years old. He's been teaching those same classes for the past 3 years. Something about him that always surprises people, in addition to having a black belt, is that he is on the Autism Spectrum. Specifically, he has a disorder on that spectrum called aspergers syndrome. Most people with psychological or physical impairments hear a lot of "you can't do this" or "you'll probably never do that" and etc. He definitely heard that kind of stuff throughout his life...but, instead of letting it bring him down, he kept testing his limits and never stopped being driven or ambitious. When he finally got his black belt and all his hard work paid off, he realized that he could do anything.
